Summary

Professional young lady, Sue Thomas (Deanne Bray), has come to Washington D.C. looking for a job with the F.B.I. She has a unique factor to bring to the table, she is deaf. She lives life alongside her loyal hearing dog Levi, who is always on the alert to warn her when someone’s getting her attention. A very present part of the team.

Getting ready to take down the bad guys

Getting hired by the F.B.I., she has a difficult time getting integrated, as they give her a low-level job. She runs into Special Agent Jack Hudson (Yannick Bisson), who ends up becoming her training agent. She is assigned to a task force, and soon, is working on high level cases. Not always accepted, even by her team mates (in the beginning), she soon wins them all over. She is an asset, due to her ability to read the lips of the “bad guys”.

Jack, Sue, and Bobby

Special Agent Jack Hudson is obviously over the moon for Sue, but of course, keeps at a distance. He is very determined and will get his man in the end. Leading the team on assignments that range from terrorism to art theft. Australian Special Agent Bobby Manning (Rick Peters) adds humor to every situation, but is always serious about his job. Special Agent Dimitrius Gans (Marc Gomes) is an upper level agent, often leading the team in the office. He’s the only family man, a good friend to all, and willing to do what it takes.

Lucy, Miles, and Tara

Special Agent Tara Williams (Tara Samuels) is the computer geek of the team and can find anything, anywhere, anytime. She is the go-to person for finding out information and will get her man in the end. Lucy Dotson is the office personnel for their section, but is just as much a part of the team. She is roommates with Sue and tries to learn Sign Language, making an effort to see inside her world. She also loves to match-make and often gets herself into trouble that way. Special Agent Miles…Leland…the III (Ted Atherton) is the comic relief of the team. Slightly rude toward Sue in the beginning, he soon becomes soft-hearted and loves each member of the team, including her. Highly educated and always wearing a three-piece suit, he brings class to the team.

Review

Sue Thomas F.B.Eye is a wonderful series, patriotic, and shows a glimpse of what the Federal Bureau of Investigation does for us. Showing the modern world and what we live amongst in a terrorist world, it makes you grateful for people who risk their lives, despite difficulty with politics, for us.

Sue and Jack

Also, a great view into the life of the deaf community and what they live with in everyday life. How they have to learn to communicate in multiple ways and often miss out on what hearing people take for granted.

D and Bobby taking down a bad guy

Very clean and safe for the whole family to watch, it makes for a pleasant change. Able to have an action-based series, without a lot of the gruesome aspects of modern television.

Excellent for all and highly recommended!
